Herbert Hirsch Professor of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia. Teaches courses on United States politics, political psychology, and the politics of war, violence and genocide. Selected to participate in the Goldner Symposium on Post-Holocaust Ethics at Wroxton College in Oxfordshire, England. Serves on numerous advisory boards. Offers a course on The Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights at the Virginia Holocaust Memorial Museum. Publications include: several books and numerous articles and reviews; Genocide and the Politics of Memory (1995), Anti-Genocide: Building an American Movement to Prevent Genocide (2002).
