David Scheffer Senior Vice President of the U.N. Association of the U.S.A. Prior to that he was a Senior Fellow of the U.S. Institute of Peace. Former Ambassador for war crimes. U.S. negotiator on the International Criminal Court. Served as a visiting professor in international law during the 2003-2004 academic year. He led the U.S. negotiating team in the U.N. talks on the International Criminal Court and he helped negotiate the creation of the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, and the Extraordinary Chambers in Cambodia. He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars and has published extensively on international law and politics. >> Back to top |
