Editor of magazine for free expression, Index on Censorship; with Ursula Owen transformed Index into a magazine that addresses crucial issues of today in accessible and provocative way. Has various teaching experience, including at the Graduate School of Journalism at City University, London. Published fiction but gave up, devoting herself to journalism.
