Irena Veisaite Ph.d. Irena Veisaite currently holds the position of OSI (Open Society Institute) ombudsman. In the past she has served both as the chairman of the Open Society Fund–Lithuania board and as a member of OSI-Budapest’s board. By profession a philologist and theatre critic. She has taught world literature and the history of theatre at the Vilnius Pedagogical University. She is a member of the Lithuanian Theatre Union, the Chair of the United World Colleges (UWC) National Committee in Lithuania, and a member of the UWC International Board. For the last seven years Professor Versaite has been involved in Holocaust education issues.
