On August 17, 2013 the Documentation Center of Cambodia’s Cham Identity Project team conducted assessment on an architectural design of a former Khmer Rouge dining hall and updated the villagers about Cham silk in O-Trav village, Andaung Thmar commune, Prey Nup district, Preah Sihanouk province. The village is one of the three selected sites of the project. The other two include Sre Prey of Kampong Chhnang province and Svay Khleang of Kampong Cham province.

The renovated dining hall which will be designed using history, culture, and arts as an inspiration by a Cham architect student and the project’s team will function as community’s exhibition hall, library, and research center. While the exhibition will feature Cham silk and language, the research center will provide space and opportunity for concerned audience to benefit from Cham archives, culture and way of life.
