A Live Screening Verdict on Case 002/01 at O Cheng Pagoda

In the morning of August 7, 2014 villagers came to the eating hall of O Cheng pagoda in Ta Ang commune, Kaun Mom district of Ratanak Kiri province with anxiousness to see if Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan are found guilty. At around 9 a.m. 200 people arrived the prepared place to watch live screening of the announcement of verdict in Case 002/01 against Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan, the only two Khmer Rouge leaders to stand trial. Most of them are composing of the majority of Kroeng, Laos, Cham Muslim and majority of men. They applauded the sentence of Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan to life imprisonment for the charge of crimes against humanity.
