During the workshop at Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPS), seven young artists participants were asked to hold the hands of Him Huy, a former guard at S-21 prison (three students are holding the right hand and four holding the left hand) and keep their eyes shut while listening to Norng Chanphal, a child survivor of the S-21, describing his childhood experience of being separated from his mother in the prison.

They are holding the killer's hands and hearing the victim's suffering. They feel the hands shaking and image in their head the scene, thinking of what they would do if they were Him Huy and Norng Chanphal.

This process can help the young artists to understand and perform their dance with more feeling attached.

The students will perform Khmer Rouge (KR) stories called ROUGE which cover around the theme of memory, using objects such as bamboo and other techniques by blending circus art and contemporary dance.
