For the year 2012, hearing of evidence in Case 002 will resume on January 10. According to the Khmer Rouge tribunal's schedule, the hearings will continue until February 16.The Documentation Center of Cambodia has invited sixteen Cambodian rural community leaders  to attend the hearings on January 10 and 11. A day before they attend the hearing, the community leaders will be briefed about the Khmer Rouge tribunal proceedings and the details of Case 002 at the tribunal, which is considered the most important case at the Khmer Rouge tribunal. 

Today, Nuon Chea took the floor and told the public that the Khmer Rouge revolution targeted villagers in the countryside because they were poor and easy to lure.
