The Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) is cooperating with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to mount anti-genocide slogans across all high schools both in Phnom Penh and provinces for the purpose of promoting forgiveness, tolerance, education and reconciliation. The slogans also help to recall the past and generate interest in the upcoming trial of the four surviving senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge. The two slogans say (1) "Talking about experience during the Khmer Rouge regime promotes reconciliation and educates children about forgiveness and tolerance," and (2) "Learning about the history of Democratic Kampuchea helps prevent genocide."

DC-Cam will hold an inauguration ceremony of an Anti-Genocide Memorial at Wat Koh High School on December 23, 2011, at 7:30AM. Her Excellency Chumteav Ton Sa-Im, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and Mr. Chea Cheat, Head of Phnom Penh Municipal Office of Education will be the guests of honor for this ceremony. A group of students will perform musical instruments such as drums and trumpets to welcome and celebrate the event. Wat Koh High School is the fourteenth location to hold a memorial inauguration ceremony.

Wat Koh High School is situated in the north of Wat Koh pagoda located in Sangkat Boeng Rang, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh. It was built in 1955 with the name Preah Chey Chesda Primary School. After the 1970 coup, the school was renamed Wat Koh Primary School. During the Khmer Rouge regime, it was turned into pharmacognostic lab, cattle farm and banana plantation. In September 1979, the school was reopened bearing the name Wat Koh Level 1 School. It became Wat Koh High School in 1998. In the academic year 2010-2011, Wat Koh High School consists of 2,607 students, 1,145 of whom are girl. The slogans are being mounted with financial support from Mr. Chhun Sarom, Wat Koh School Director, teachers, students and the Documentation Center of Cambodia.
