On July 4-6, 2016, the Documentation Center of Cambodia’s (DC-Cam) team opened a library and information desk at the Anlong Veng Peace Center, a new project dedicated to peace and reconciliation in Anlong Veng. This structure was Ta Mok’s former meeting house on Dangrek mountain, which was used as a war room for the top echelons of the former Khmer Rouge. The library and information desk are specifically designed for the general public who can read DC-Cam’s publications and obtain information, free of charge. The Peace Center also has information about the fourteen historical sites in Anlong Veng. Anlong Veng was the final stronghold of the Khmer Rouge movement, which reintegrated into the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) in 1998.
